Originally from Haiti, Dr. Andrale D. Jeanlouis has established herself as a key figure in the Haitian diaspora, driven by her commitment to her culture and community. As a consultant and the founder of the podcast Antoutfranchiz, she embodies resilience and action. Her diverse background and innovative projects make her a personality worth following, both in Haiti and abroad.

The Antoutfranchiz podcast, launched in March 2023, quickly gained significant popularity on social media. It covers a wide range of topics related to Haiti and creates a genuine space for discussion, featuring public figures such as Jean Mary Simon, Rebeca Luc, and Melissa Prato. Season 6 is set to begin soon. For the first episode of season 4, Dr. Andrale focused on Vodou and art. Vodou priest and artist Erol Josué was the special guest for this episode, which aimed to highlight this tradition, often misunderstood. Andrale explains: “Vodou is part of our history, but it is still too often misperceived. My goal is to change this perception by showing its true meaning.” The podcast is available on various platforms, including Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

Dr. Andrale D. Jeanlouis doesn’t limit herself to her community work. She is also the founder of the Andrale JeanLouis Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting education, mentorship, and community initiatives, with a special focus on celebrating Haitian culture. Through this foundation, she aims to provide young people with the tools they need to succeed while preserving their identity.

In 2015, she published the book I Am Not My Mother’s Child, where she recounts her journey, full of sacrifices and challenges, while encouraging young people never to give up. “I wrote this book to show that despite difficulties, it is possible to rise again and chart your own path,” she says.

For Dr. Andrale, the future of the Haitian diaspora lies in recognizing its global impact, particularly through the engagement of young people. She envisions a future where young Haitians can thrive without renouncing their culture but integrating it as an asset.

A Message for the Youth

“Your culture is your superpower. In a globalized world, your Haitian heritage is a treasure. Don’t let anyone tell you that you need to conform to a model to succeed. Forge your own path while honoring your roots.”

Through her actions and projects, Dr. Andrale D. Jeanlouis continues to spread the richness of Haitian culture worldwide, inspiring young people to assert themselves and become the leaders of tomorrow.
